Shawn C. Halbert is a senior associate attorney at Lyfe Law and leads the firm’s Lemon Law and Consumer Protection Department. Mr. Halbert is known for his relentless advocacy on behalf of consumers and for his strategic approach to litigation. He represents clients in a wide range of matters involving defective vehicles, consumer fraud, construction defects, and predatory lending practices.
Throughout his career, Mr. Halbert has handled complex consumer protection cases, including high-stakes class actions and individual claims, with one clear goal: holding corporations accountable. He is especially recognized for his sharp legal writing, persuasive motion work, and innovative strategies that overcome corporate resistance and procedural hurdles.
Before joining Lyfe Law, Mr. Halbert ran his own practice focused on protecting consumers from powerful institutions. He previously served on the Law and Motion team at a leading insurance defense firm and operated a successful legal writing consultancy supporting major litigation firms across Los Angeles.
Mr. Halbert earned his J.D. from Southwestern Law School, graduating summa cum laude from the accelerated SCALE program. He holds dual B.A. degrees in Economics and Sociology from the University of Houston and completed Master’s coursework and doctoral studies in Sociology at UCLA, where he focused on power dynamics and decision-making in courtroom settings.
